A Few Things About Me

First and foremost, I am a son of God.  The most important things in my life are my relationship with God, being a good husband and father to my wife and children, and doing what I can for my neighbor, community, and Lāhui.  No success can compensate for failure in the home.

I am a descendant of aliʻi who were on both sides of Kamehameha’s quest for unification.  Two of these include Keōua Kūʻahuʻula (son of Kalaniʻōpuʻu) who was sacrificed by Kamehameha at Puʻukoholā.  The other is Keawe-a-Heulu (great-grandfather of King Kalākaua and Queen Liliʻuokalani), one of Kamehameha’s five paramount war chiefs from Kona that made up his ʻAha ʻUla.  With this koko, I feel a kuleana to kokua the Lāhui as they and other kūpuna have done.
